Our Practice
We are a full scope vision care boutique in the heart of the West End of Downtown Vancouver. Since 2000 we have been providing our patients with personalized care using state of the art technology. We offer comprehensive eye exams and carry a variety of frames, sunglasses, and contact lenses to suit your lifestyle. We would love for you to stop by our practice for all of your vision care needs!
Meet the Doctor
Dr. Nurudin Ahmed has been practicing optometry for well over three decades. After completing his undergraduate degree in London, England he moved to Canada where he graduated with a Masters in Physiological Optics and a Doctor of Optometry from the University of Waterloo. Dr. Ahmed's passion for optometry has led him to volunteer globally for the past 25 years. He has provided vision care in the Philippines and acted as a consultant for Aga Khan University Hospitals in Pakistan, Afghanistan, and East Africa. Locally, Dr. Ahmed has opened multiple optometric practices, including Urban Eyes, and operates a mobile clinic for First Nations across British Columbia.

Our full scope examinations are for all ages. We use cutting edge technology to provide an in-depth assessment of your vision and eye health. We can also provide referrals through our extensive network should you need further care.

Our doctor and trained professionals are here to help you decide if contact lenses are right for you, as well as to teach you how to use them safely and with ease. Let us know before your appointment if you are considering trying contacts for the first time.
Insurance
We accept most insurance plans and will bill directly where possible. We also take all government subsidized plans such as MSP and disability plans, and we are registered with Pacific Blue Cross for First Nations coverage.
